University Module Duration: 4 months

Primary Role: Lead Designer

Briar is a third-person horror survival game that I was a part of during my final year at Teesside University. In a group of 9 other people from different disciplines, we created Briar over the course of 4 months.

Explore a haunted mansion, solving puzzles and uncovering secrets. The mansion has been taken over by the spirits of the previous tenants. A terrible curse has fallen upon the inhabitants and Briar must avoid the monsters of the manor to escape the accursed place.

Student team project for Beta Arcade University Module.

My role:

For this project, I took the lead designer position. I worked closely with the other leads within the team while also serving as a managing position for the other designers. As the lead designer, I made critical decisions on what should be included and excluded from the game while delegating specific tasks to each designer on the team based on their strengths. By using Trello I was able to keep our group organized throughout each stage of the development. I also managed the GitHub repository for the game build.
